Social Responsibility

Options Optometrists, understands that access to affordable eye care can be a challenge for many people, especially those who rely on glasses to perform their jobs, excel in school, or pursue their studies.

That’s why we have launched the Options Optometrists Social Responsibility Program, which provides a limited number of free glasses each month to individuals in need.

To be eligible for the program, nominees must have financial hardship and must live close enough to an Options Optometrists branch to be able to travel there for their eye exam and the fitting of their new spectacles.

We are committed to providing high-quality eye care and glasses to all of our patients, as such the program is open to people of all ages and backgrounds.
If you or someone you know is in need of glasses but cannot afford them, we encourage you to apply for the program.

You can either nominate yourself or be nominated by someone else by filling out the below nomination form.

Please note that the number of glasses available through the program is limited each month, and we prioritise those in the greatest need.

If you are not successful in your initial nomination, you will need to reapply every two months to be re-considered for the program.

Once you have been nominated, our team will review your application and, if approved, schedule an appointment for your eye exam and frame selection.
It’s important to note that the eye exam for the program is fully covered by Medicare, so there is no cost for either the complete spectacles or the eye exam.

We believe that everyone deserves access to quality eye care, and we are proud to be able to offer this program to those in need.
